Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"The food was very good, well cooked and enough to eat for a good prize. The waitress, Dana, she was very helpfull and attentive. Always came with a smile and also recommended a portuguese liquor that u should try! We ate for 4 persons, a main menu and a dessert for each and it was around 40 per person."
"Had the best seafood here, I’d been craving mussels all day and it was exactly what I was hoping for! The clams and sweet potato puree were divine as well. Zahid gave us amazing service and we ended with lovely taste of Licor43! Would highly recommend"
"The service/propers are very friendly and helpful. We had happy hour and a steak menu. The steak was perfect, even the herbs were tasty. If we go to Lisboa again we will definitely come back here."
"the foods were amazing, & Daisy who’s the one assisting us is very kind and welcoming, will definitely recommend!"
"Los Chanetes Great Vibe, But the Food Falls Short Los Chanetes immediately catches your eye with its cool décor, lively atmosphere, and music that definitely draws you in. From the outside, it looks like a fun spot to relax and enjoy a good Spanish meal. Inside, the vibe is upbeat and the ambiance is inviting. The service was decent friendly enough and attentive in a standard way, but nothing that really stood out or made the experience memorable. It was fine, just not exceptional. Unfortunately, the food was the biggest disappointment. We ordered the steak, and for the price, the portion was surprisingly small. The rice and meat platter looked promising on the menu, but when it arrived, it was honestly a letdown very bland, lacking seasoning, and not worth what they charge. With Portugal known for flavorful, generous meals, this one really missed the mark. We also tried the pork chop, and it came out dry, which added to the sense that the kitchen wasn’t putting much care into the dishes. The flavors were mild, the portions felt uneven, and nothing had that “wow” factor you hope for, especially in a country with so many amazing restaurants. Looking back, we should have read more reviews beforehand. While Los Chanetes is not the worst place in the world, it’s definitely far from the best. With so many fantastic dining options nearby, this one felt more like a tourist trap great atmosphere, but the food doesn’t match the price or the promise. If you’re in the area, I’d recommend trying one of the many other amazing Portuguese or Spanish restaurants instead. The vibe at Los Chanetes is fun, but the food simply doesn’t deliver."
"Excellent food, great atmosphere and worth checking it out while here. Deyse was a wonderful server too!"
"We were in Lisbon for 6 days on a tour cruise by NCL. We spent a lot of time exploring the city center and surrounding area. For lunch one day, we decided to try Los Chanetes on the Rossi Square. We ordered one cod cooked Portuguese style and one hamburger. We did not care for the cod as it was too salty for our tastes. We plan to try it again on another day at a different place. Service was nice and atmosphere on the square is very nice."
"Visited this place twice last week and both times our server was very friendly and efficient. Food was good and my son and I enjoyed it. Will visit again when back in Lisboa."
